SHR Kit Requirements
Entry: on the day from 11.00am until 12:30pm (click here for a printable pdf entry form)
Entry fee: £5.00
Registration and Prizegiving: in the Wauchope Hall, Town Yetholm (zoom in on Google map to see exact location) opposite the junction to Kirk Yetholm, approx 1.5 miles from the race start at Halterburn. Please try to register here if possible but late arrivals will be able to enter at the start.
Parking: Parking is available at the registration point (Wauchope Hall) and the race start/finish area (Halterburn). Please park considerately in Town Yetholm Main Street, you can also use a wide verge on the B6352 heading for Cornhill, 200m from the hall. Parking at Halterburn is on both sides of the road, beyond the start/finish area

Starting
at Halterburn car park 140m (see map opposite), it takes in Staerough Hill 337m, drop to 220m, Sunnyside Hill 327m,
Wildgoose Hill 336m, Latchely Hill 403m, steep descent to sheepfold 290m, The Curr 564m, col at 484,
Black Hag (app 520 not summit), return via Pennine Way high level route down Steer Rig, col at 350m, over Whitelaw 420m,
cross stile at Whitelaw Nick still following the Pennine Way to descend to the finish.

Prizes/Trophies: Limited prizelist as event is a fundraiser for the Border Search & Rescue Unit. Bonus for 1st male/female to beat the clockwise course record.
Other Events: If anyone wants to make a weekend of it, you can't do much better than the Border Gaitherin music weekend at Coldstream on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of June. There is camping and showers organised on the Tweed Green, Coldstream. Why not bring an instrument and join in........a good nights sleep isn't guaranteed though!!!
